My older brother moved out of the house, so my parents are letting me move into his larger bedroom. They've given me a $2000 budget for furniture and decorating. It measures 11ft.x11ft. The north wall has a window on the far right, measuring 2ft wide and 4 ft tall, about 20 inches off the floor. The east wall has a 7ft wide closet and clearance for the bedroom door to open. The south wall has the door, on the far left when looking at it from the inside of the room. The west wall has a 4ft.x4ft. window in the center, 40 inches off the floor. The floor is a cream-colored carpet, and the walls are eggshell.
The room must have a full-sized bed, a dresser (preferably with a mirror), a desk, and a bookcase. Items I'd love but aren't necessary are a vanity, a nightstand, and a chair (a round, saucer chair). I'm a teenage girl with very broad tastes. Don't be afraid to get creative! I love a lot of design styles. I just want my room to look really good, maybe a little sophisticated, and trendy is always good. You should watch HGTV. The show Divine Design is amazing and they work with a very low budget. About the same as yours. Candice is amazing at decorating and they always decorate bedrooms. Make sure you choose designs that you'll still be comfortable with in a few years.

I would LOVE to help you with your design dilemma but before I can I have to ask a few questions. first off,tell me what are colors you like and styles you like? tell me about yourself and hobbies. also, what items do you have for your room (posters,etc ,things you want to display) and is there anything you are getting rid of or do you need it all? that will decide where most of your money needs to go. besides sleeping what other uses for the room…studying?hanging with friends?watching tv?playing games?listening to music? etc once I get an idea of these preliminaries, I can get a better idea of a design for your bedroom space.
