i'm 15 and i have very old fashioned light pine furniture. it was very expensive and i am not allowed to paint, or get rid of it. however, i am redoing my room and would like a kind of contemporary feel (sort of mod). how can i accomplish this with my existing furniture? also, i am painting the walls white, except for one, with will be black with song lyrics painted on it. my bedding will be black with 6 large white flowers. i think my accent color will probably be red. i wanted to put a hanging bubble chair in the corner of the room, but was unable to find one under 200 dollars, so i think i might put a small armchair in the corner instead. any colors, lighting ideas, seating ideas, or curtain ideas would be appreciated. (i do not have a large room, and in the room i have a twin bed, a dresser which doubles as a vanity, another dresser, a bookcase, another dresser, a large desk, 2 windows and a smallish closet. all of my furniture peices are fairly bulky and tall.)
